Bel Vivaha

Bel Vivaha is a unique Hindu ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, where a Bel tree (Aegle marmelos) is symbolically married to Lord Shiva. This ritual is performed to seek blessings for a happy and prosperous married life, and to remove obstacles or doshas related to marriage. The Bel tree, known for its sacred significance in Hinduism, is adorned with offerings such as flowers, water, and incense. Devotees often perform this ceremony during the month of Shravana (July–August) to honor Lord Shiva, believing that it brings peace, fertility, and the removal of any marriage-related troubles.
